02 Sponsor

The sponsor is Awaken Studios Pty Ltd (ABN 23 245 188 537), trading as Kitchen Bandits, c/- Grenfell Murray Pty Ltd, Level 1, 9 Nicklin Way, Minyama QLD 4575, Australia (the "Sponsor"). Questions about these rules go to hello@kitchenbandits.com.

03 Eligibility

The Kitchen Bandits Monthly Station Photo Giveaway (the "Sweepstakes") is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

Employees, officers and contractors of the Sponsor, and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling) and household members of each, are not eligible. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

04 Promotion period

Each calendar month is a separate sweepstakes. A month opens at 00:00:00 UTC on its first day and closes at 23:59:59 UTC on its last day. An entry belongs to the month in which the Sponsor's server receives it. The Sponsor's server clock is the official clock.

05 How to enter

There are two ways to enter. Both give identical odds. No purchase or order number is required for either.

(a) Photo entry

Go to kitchenbandits.com/win, choose "With a photo", and submit one photo of Kitchen Bandits silicone bottle bands in your own kitchen, bar or station setup, together with your name, email address and the required confirmations. Photos are JPEG, PNG or HEIC, up to 10 MB.

Every photo is held for approval. Only approved photos are shown publicly. A photo that does not show Kitchen Bandits bands, shows a person's face without their consent, or contains anything unlawful, unsafe or offensive is rejected and the entry is void. Approval does not affect the draw date.

By submitting a photo you confirm that you took it or have the right to submit it, and you grant the Sponsor a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display an approved photo on kitchenbandits.com and the Sponsor's social channels, credited with your first name and city.

(b) Free alternate method of entry

Go to kitchenbandits.com/win, choose "Without a photo (free entry)", and submit your name, email address and the required confirmations. No photo, purchase or order number is required. This entry has the same odds as a photo entry and is eligible immediately.

Limit

One entry per person, per email address, per month, across both methods. A second entry in the same month is refused. Entries generated by script, macro, bot or any other automated means are void. Incomplete, altered or fraudulent entries are void.

06 Prize

1 prize per month: One 24-pack of Kitchen Bandits silicone bottle bands in the winner's choice of available size and color. Approximate retail value (ARV):$37.97 USD.

No cash substitute and no transfer. The Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable. All federal, state and local taxes on the prize are the winner's responsibility.

The prize is fulfilled by the Sponsor placing an order for delivery to the winner's confirmed US shipping address within 30 days of confirmation.

07 Odds

Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received in the month.

08 Winner selection

The winner is picked by a fixed, public procedure, not by hand. The draw is held at 12:00 UTC on the 1st of the following month, or later in the same week if photo entries are still awaiting approval. The seed is fixed in advance, so a later draw gives the same result as a prompt one.

1. Seed. The NIST Randomness Beacon pulse published at 00:00:00 UTC on the 1st of the following month. Its output value is the seed. If the NIST beacon is unavailable, the seed is the hash of the first Bitcoin block, by ascending height, whose header timestamp is at or after that instant.
2. Entries. Every eligible entry has an opaque ID. The eligible IDs for the month are sorted in ascending order and duplicates are removed.
3. Hash. A message is built from the seed, a newline, and the sorted IDs joined by newlines. The message is hashed with SHA-256.
4. Winner. The hash is read as one whole number. That number modulo the entry count is the winner's position in the sorted list. The entry at that position wins.
5. Alternates. Alternate winners are the next entries in the sorted list after the winner, wrapping to the start of the list, in order.

Everything needed to recompute the result is published at kitchenbandits.com/winners: the seed source and value, the sorted entry IDs, the hash, and the winner's position.

09 Winner notification

The winner is notified by email within 7 days of the draw. The winner has7 days from the date of that email to reply and confirm a US shipping address.

If the winner does not reply in time, cannot be reached, declines the prize, or is found ineligible, the prize is forfeited and the first alternate is notified under the same terms, then the next.

10 Publicity release

Except where prohibited by law, the winner agrees that the Sponsor may publish the winner's first name and city/state, and, for a photo entry, the approved photo, on kitchenbandits.com and the Sponsor's social channels, without further notice or compensation.

11 Privacy

Entry data is used to run the draw, to contact the winner, and for the Kitchen Bandits email list that an entrant joins by entering. It is not sold. See the privacy policy.

12 General

The Sponsor's decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. By entering, each entrant releases the Sponsor and its officers, employees and agents from any claim or liability arising from participation in the Sweepstakes or from the receipt or use of a prize.

The Sponsor may cancel, suspend or modify a month's Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failure, or any other cause beyond its control affects its administration, security or fairness. Notice of any change is posted on this page.

Disputes are governed by the laws of [GOVERNING LAW / VENUE], as stated in the terms.

13 Winners list

Each month's winner is posted at kitchenbandits.com/winners. A winners list can also be requested by email to hello@kitchenbandits.com.
